Description

THOMPSONS 750 ML EME ROOF REPAIR MASTIC
Developed from technology used on North Sea oil rigs, Thompson's Emergency Roof Repair Mastic is a trowel applied mastic with the ability to adhere to virtually any roofing material even underwater. With added fibres and a high solids content Thompson's Emergency Roof Repair Mastic has been developed for filling, plugging and repairing cracks and splits, targeting leaks at the source of the problem. Thompson's Emergency Roof Repair Mastic is an all weather solution, its hydrophobic formula actively repels and displaces water during and after application instantly forming a watertight seal that does not require time to cure before it delivers full weatherproofing protection.

Preparation
For maximum emergency weatherproofing Thompson's Emergency Roof Repair Mastic can be applied in wet conditions even underwater. If applying Thompson's Emergency Roof Repair Mastic in wet conditions where possible brush water from any surfaces which have ponded and follow the directions for application. When applying Thompson's Emergency Roof Repair Mastic in dry conditions, remove any fungal growth, chippings or loose material by scraping or vigorous stiff brushing. Thompson's Emergency Roof Repair Mastic may not easily adhere to dry dusty surfaces, in this event damp down the surface with white spirit.
Application
Thompson's Emergency Roof Repair Mastic can be applied directly to the leaking area, wet or dry, with a trowel or pallet knife. Small cracks and holes should be firmly filled with Thompson's Emergency Roof Repair Mastic to a minimum thickness of 6mm overlapping at least 100mm onto sound surfaces in all directions. Areas previously treated for leaks should be fully covered to a depth of 6mm with a 100mm overlap in all directions. Larger cracks and voids should have a reinforcing scrim embedded into a first application and then be covered over with a second coat. Where firmly embedded chippings can not be removed, allow a 250mm overlap in all directions, taking care to ensure a perfect seal around the edges.
Clean Up
Clean equipment immediately after use with white spirit or brush cleaner. Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning.
